Abstract

This report treats violence against staff in the Norwegian Correctional Service during 2004, and is a part of a larger and continuous knowledge- and experience giving work. The report consists of four parts: preliminary considerations of relevance to the interpretation of the findings; descriptive review of the 2004 status; the statistic description in light of selected, relevant theoretical perspectives; and finally, a unifying and forward looking summary.
